Mind you, this could have been a very good and strong work, if not the main hero - I mean, if it were anybody else, then the Alias would work out well. The plot, the choice of other actors, the suspense are all here, but then, something bad this way comes. Tell me, do you know any good film where Jennifer Garner was any good? Well, she seems to have only One facial expression - the one of a complete surprise, mixed with an utmost embezzlement (well, Two expressions). Anyway, her always slightly parted lips look very funny - one minute, they look sexy, but then, since they are Always parted, they look just the same. And her eyes - ones of a deeply frightened hare being chased by the ferocious wolves. Man, an actor should play! He must perform. This is his job. He gets paid for that. Jennifer doesn't even try. She shows her great figure, her excellent long legs and her nice physical form. But where is her performance? Does she ever try? No. This spoils the whole film. When Jennifer is Not in the screen, the film is really great. The moment she comes in, it becomes fairly bad... Please, change the main hero! I know, this is just a joke. But, really, it is a pity that a bad choice spoils the whole big picture. But even the worst thing come in, when the main heroine is in Moscow, Russia. Men, have you ever been to my homeland?? I feel that never! How can, how dare you show the uniform that has nothing in common with Russian military one? How can the Russian soldiers be clad in Nazi-looking mouse-gray uniforms? How can the secret service agency be located, of all the places, in Lenin's Memorial Tomb, the Mausoleum? Are you nuts? Or, are you trying to be offensive? Then, on the name plates that stand on the desks, there is the name of the official only, and never his military rank, thus the inscription "General Vitaliy Simonov" is a pure nonsense. Then, how a woman of some 30 years + may wear an honorary Medal For The WWII Victory, unless she hadn't taken part in it? I am deeply sorry for such a blatant show of sheer ineptitude and offense towards Russia...
I'm very surprised that this show is so popular with girls. Alias is so sexist and derogatory towards women and many don't even see it!!! Networks think they can hide it by portraying a "strong willed woman who can fight men", but then they turn around and try to sell the show with her wearing skimpy outfits in weirdo situations. "Time to sneak into the secret compound and save the day. I'd better wear clothes that make me look like a whore, and I can't forget to wear a neon pink wig". The outfits would make it very hard to fight and move around, if we're thinking with any sense of realism. There's only one possible reason for it, it's called exploitation! It's poorly written too but YEAH...they'll never notice....
